PSA International Sustainability Report 2021 – Green Horizons: Collaborating for Change

PSA believes that co-creating a more sustainable tomorrow requires the collaborative efforts and expertise of stakeholders across all industries, governments and society. It is this theme that inspired the PSA International Sustainability Report 2021, titled “Green Horizons: Collaborating for Change”.

This is the company’s second Sustainability Report. It communicates the progress and achievements in the year 2021, relating to PSA’s sustainability priorities set out under their own Sustainability Strategy Framework. The Framework provides a roadmap for creating sustainable value on three fronts – Taking Climate Action, Transforming Supply Chains and Nurturing a Future-Ready Workforce.

In this Report, PSA Group Chairman Peter Voser stressed that we must continue to “build momentum around positive developments” and chart “new pathways towards a more sustainable and inclusive world”, while PSA Group CEO Tan Chong Meng emphasised that the ongoing global challenges faced by an increasingly polarised world today serve “to strengthen PSA’s resolve to work with its partners and stakeholders towards the goal of building more resilient and sustainable global supply chains”.

As a global leader in the port operations and logistics industry, PSA is uniquely positioned to use its influence, reach and capabilities to spur collaboration and innovation for change. Highlights for the year include:

  • Participation in and steering of collective action involving stakeholders across various international and cross-industry platforms, and action groups under the World Economic Forum, Global Maritime Forum, Smart Freight Centre, and more
  • Progressing in its goal to convert 90 per cent of RTGs to electric or hybrid models by 2030, having reached close to 50 per cent conversion in 2021
  • Remaining steadfast in growing its people with FISH-themed signature workshops that drive organisational change and growth, and the roll-out of a comprehensive e-learning programme ‘Greenfish Climate Action’ to educate employees on climate challenges and to promote empowerment around environmental sustainability issues.
