Baltic Hub Marks New Milestone in T3 Expansion Project

Baltic Hub, a member of the PSA Group, has marked a new milestone with the arrival of three state-of-the-art Ship-To-Shore (STS) cranes in March, with four having earlier arrived in October 2024 and currently undergoing testing.

T3 will increase Baltic Hub’s capacity to handle the world’s largest container ships, reinforcing its position as the leading container hub in the Baltic Sea. The new terminal is built on a 36-hectare artificial peninsula, seamlessly connected to Baltic Hub’s existing facilities. Upon full completion in late 2025, it will increase the hub’s annual handling capacity to 4.5 million TEUs, positioning Baltic Hub among Europe’s largest container terminal complexes.

Baltic Hub’s CEO Jan Van Mossevelde commented, “Baltic Hub’s T3 expansion represents a major investment in the future of global logistics. By the end of 2025, we will offer even more advanced and efficient container handling facilities. This development benefits the Polish economy, facilitates trade across the region and ensures Baltic Hub remains a top choice for global shipping lines. Together, these new STS cranes and our new semi-automated terminal setup, will enable Baltic Hub to significantly enhance operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability. The completion of T3 terminal will not only support the growing demands of global trade but will also strengthen Poland’s role in the global logistics network.”
