On 8 March 2017, the SPIA Terminal in Colombia held its official opening ceremony. Testament of the project’s significance, the milestone event was graced by over 400 guests which included the President of the Republic of Colombia H.E. Juan Manuel Santos, Vice-President H.E. Germán Vargas Lleras, politicians and government officials, management of PSA and International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI), customers, partners and staff. Following the local, regional and national anthems and speeches, SPIA was honoured to receive a certificate from the Minister for Commerce, which recognised it as an outstanding project.
