PSA International, Pacific International Lines (Pte) Ltd (“PIL”) and IBM Singapore (“IBM”) have successfully concluded a Proof of Concept (POC) exercise built on IBM’s Blockchain Platform. Application and testing of a blockchain-based supply chain platform to track and trace cargo movement from Chongqing to Singapore via the Southern Trade Corridor (STC) will follow. The project has the potential to bring about greater operating efficiencies, security and transparency across the global logistics and shipping businesses, ultimately shaping the entire industry.
