PSA Singapore received the inaugural “Port Infrastructure Development of the Year” Award at the Lloyd’s List Asia Pac Awards on 27 September 2018. The commendation was presented during a grand event at the prestigious Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore.

This award recognises the company, terminal operator, port operator or port authority that has completed an outstanding port infrastructure investment that drives economic and social change within APAC, at the same time as improving environmental surroundings.

The judging panel looked for proven examples of innovation, efficiency, and profitability of the infrastructure investment, with attention to those projects that improve the living standards of local populations through access to better employment opportunities, business opportunities and trade.

The Lloyd’s List Asia Pac Awards was started in 1998 to celebrate excellence and recognise achievements in the maritime industry. Winners are assessed and chosen by an independent panel of judges drawn from the top echelon of Asia Pacific’s maritime community.
