PSA International and PSA Marine Donate Personal Protective Equipment to Chattogram Port Authority

To help safeguard the health and safety of port workers at Chattogram Port Authority (CPA) in Bangladesh during this COVID-19 pandemic, PSA International and PSA Marine Bangladesh donated personal protective equipment (PPE) items to the employees of CPA and the Chattogram Port Hospital on 5 July 2020. These items include surgical masks, N95 masks, hand gloves and hand sanitisers.
As a leading global port group and trusted partner to cargo stakeholders around the world, PSA understands the critical need to keep port services going and the supply chain resilient during this time so that goods can get to the people who need them. In Bangladesh, PSA Marine Bangladesh provides berthing, mooring, pilot and personnel transfer services to LNG ships.
Regional CEO Middle East South Asia and Head of Group Business Development Wan Chee Foong said, “While the COVID-19 pandemic has caused great pain to the livelihoods of many, we are confident that Bangladesh can overcome this crisis and recover its strong growth trajectory. PSA is committed to the long-term development of the port and logistics ecosystem in Bangladesh.
“We will continue to work alongside the Government of Bangladesh, Ministry of Shipping, and Chattogram Port Authority to modernise the port by developing world class projects like the Bay Terminal, and together emerge stronger from the crisis.”
