PSA Singapore Reaps Recognition for its Gardens in Bloom

PSA Singapore recently received awards for its commendable efforts in community gardening at this year’s Community in Bloom Awards, organised by Singapore’s National Parks Board.

Two gardens – the Botanicals Sky @ MB and Botanicals Earth @ MB – were among 20 community gardens in Singapore which received the “Outstanding Edibles – Growing Community Garden” title, while PATIO@PPTB3 was named “Outstanding Community Engagement Garden”, alongside 17 other gardens in the country!

Since 2019, we have opened three rooftop gardens at PSA Singapore’s Pasir Panjang Terminal Building 3 and Pasir Panjang Maintenance Base. More than 150 types of fruiting plants, herbs, leafy and root vegetables can be found in the three food gardens, and over 500 kg of organic produce have been harvested so far! The harvest is shared among colleagues and food canteen stallholders, as well as donated to partner beneficiaries under PSA Singapore’s CSR programmes.

A fourth food garden was also established inside Pasir Panjang Terminal earlier in 2020, while another food garden is currently being planned for at the upcoming Tuas Port.
