Celebrating The 10th Anniversary of AATS in Singapore

This year marked the 10th anniversary of the Asia Automobile Terminal Singapore (AATS), a joint venture between PSA Singapore, NYK and “K” Line. Since its establishment in 2009, AATS has been the largest vehicle transhipment hub in Southeast Asia, with an average throughput of 750,000 units annually!
Managing Director of Singapore Terminals 1, Cheang Chee Kit said, “I wish to congratulate the AATS team for reaching this significant 10-year milestone and commend everyone for the work that made AATS’s success possible. NYK and “K” Line’s strengths in comprehensive global logistics, be it sea, land or air, combined with PSA Singapore’s strategic location will give us a competitive edge in the global RORO business.”
To celebrate the momentous occasion, PSA Singapore hosted a visit to the Pasir Panjang Automobile Terminal for representatives of Toyota, NYK and “K” Line visiting from Japan on 22 March 2019. This was followed by a traditional Japanese sake barrel opening ceremony called ‘Kagami Biraki’ held at PSA Building. The ceremony is performed at celebratory events, and symbolises a wish for the continuity of harmony and good fortune.
