DCT Gdansk Records Its Highest Moves Per Hour

On 8 March 2020, DCT Gdansk recorded its highest number of hourly moves alongside MSC AMBRA, achieving a stellar result of more than 221.56 moves per hour at one of their 12-hour shifts on the vessel’s maiden voyage to the port.
MSC AMBRA was newly constructed in 2020 with a length overall of 399.9 meters and a capacity of 23,756 TEU. DCT Gdansk’s highly motivated operations team managed a vessel rate (VR) of 221.56 mph during a shift through their teamwork, from their excellent engineering team responsible for keeping the number of crane breakdowns low, to the well-balanced cargo discharge and loading jobs which were essential for yard operations to remain efficient.
Through the team’s persistent combined efforts, a total of 9,369 moves was handled during MSC AMBRA’s stay. This achievement also reflects DCT Gdansk’s spirit of excellence – continuously striving to exceed their standards of service while staying true to the company’s safety-first policy.
