PSA Belgium Launches New Employer Branding Campaign at the Tall Ships Races

In an innovative fashion, PSA Belgium launched its new employer branding campaign by dovetailing it with the City of Antwerp’s Tall Ships Races event held in July.

The stunning event saw about 850,000 people gathering to admire a fleet of more than 40 traditional sailing ships from 12 different countries in the heart of Antwerp, including some of the largest sailing vessels often referred to as the “Cathedrals of the Sea”.

As one of the main sponsors, PSA Belgium used this opportunity to launch its new employer branding campaign, built around its new highly interactive website that takes you on a 360-degree journey through the Port of Antwerp.

PSA Belgium also hosted an information stand together with its joint venture partners MSC PSA European Terminal (MPET) and Antwerp Terminal Services (ATS), in the Port of Antwerp. Passers-by could talk to representatives from the three organisations as well as interact with the touch screen televisions and tablet computers to visit PSA Belgium’s new high-tech website (www.grootgrotergroots.be). The website provides information on the available job positions at PSA Belgium, MPET, and ATS, and details on future recruitment events. Upon visiting the website, visitors can also choose to take a 360-degree virtual tour of the Port of Antwerp.

PSA Belgium Head of HR and Communications Ivan De Maere praised the new recruitment tool and corresponding campaign, and said: “During the Tall Ships Races, the new website did much more than just attract people to our stand and entice them to look around. It also gave our representatives plenty to talk about. It is much easier to explain what PSA exactly does to people who are new to the port when you have a scalable map of the port in front of you. This online portal will be an extremely useful employer branding and recruitment tool for years to come, not only for people searching for a job on their computer, tablet or smart phone, but also during recruitment events.”
