PSA Global Learning Carnival Brings Fun to Learning!

To continuously ignite curiosity and a passion for self-directed learning across the PSA Group, PSA University’s (PSAU) Singapore and Antwerp campuses held their very first virtual PSA Global Learning Carnival from 19-23 September 2022!
About 1,500 staff from PSA business units and entities across the world participated in the virtual global learning carnival week. The PSA Global Learning Carnival was curated into three tracks — Self-Mastery, Technology Enablement and Business Transformation. Each track incorporated webinars, videos, quizzes, self-learning materials such as podcasts and experiential activities such as virtual games. The webinars by external and internal speakers covered a range of topics – from learning agility and mindsets, brain hacks and the metaverse, to sustainable practices, ship handling and supply chain technologies. A key highlight was an exclusive video chat with PSA Group CEO Tan Chong Meng who shared his perspective on learning.

In Singapore, in conjunction with the Go Green fortnight, PSAU Singapore also teamed up with PSA’s Climate Response Agents (CRESTs) and PSA Group Corporate Affairs team to organise an afternoon event at PSA Horizons with an Open House and pop-up stalls offering hands-on workshops. Staff dropping by PSA Horizons could visit the PSAU Simulation Training Centre, take a tour of the PSA Innovation Centre, browse sustainable lifestyle-themed pop-up stalls and take part in hands-on upcycling workshops. It was an afternoon of play, as participants enjoyed snapping group photos at a holographic photo booth, and carnival snacks such as popcorn, candy floss and ice cream.
With the changes sweeping across the world today, training towards being life-long learners is crucial!
