PSA Health@Home Collaborates with CrimsonLogic to Grant 500 Wishes

In conjunction with Singapore’s SG Cares Giving Week 2020, the PSA Health@Home team collaborated with CrimsonLogic to grant the wishes of 500 needy individuals. The beneficiaries comprised individuals from Ain Society, Children’s Cancer Foundation, HCA Hospice Care, Nee Soon GRC, and St Luke’s Eldercare. Patients with life-limiting illnesses, elders who live alone, and low-income residents were included in this initiative.

Traditionally, the annual PSA Charity Fair would see different divisions and departments in Singapore coming together to raise funds for a PSA Health@Home partner through the sales of food, drinks, games and other merchandise. However, this year’s event could not be held due to the ongoing pandemic. Nevertheless, the PSA Health@Home team came up with the ‘Wishing for 500 Smiles!’ initiative to continue helping those in need.

Upon receiving the wishes from the beneficiaries, the team collated and published them as an online wish list. Participants from PSA Singapore, PSA Marine, CrimsonLogic and PSA International would then have the option to either adopt the wish individually, as a group, or as a department.

After the wish lists went live on November 2, almost half of the wishes were adopted within the first day, while the rest of the wishes were adopted within the span of two weeks. Many of the participants adopted more than one wish, while some went above and beyond the initially requested value or quantity of wish items. The items were subsequently delivered to the beneficiaries by 7 December, to coincide with the SG Cares Giving Week 2020.

PSA would like to thank all the generous donors for selflessly putting smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries and making their day amidst this difficult year.
