PSA Italy Plants a Forest with Treedom

PSA Italy has partnered with the online platform Treedom in a project to offset carbon emissions and promote environmental awareness and action among staff.
Through the Treedom platform, individuals and companies can pay to plant a fruit tree in a chosen location and follow it virtually as it grows. These income-producing fruit trees can also bring economic and social benefits to the local farmers and communities in locations such as Kenya, Guatemala, Colombia and Nepal. The tree can also be a virtual gift to others.
Since the start of the project in December 2021, PSA Italy has planted some 300 trees – equivalent to offsetting about 76 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
The project aims to donate a tree on behalf of each of our 900 PSA Italy colleagues in the next three years. By embarking on this project and continuously planting trees, PSA Italy aims to increase awareness amongst staff and partners of the importance of environmental sustainability, protecting biodiversity, and fighting global warming.
