PSA Mumbai handled its two millionth TEU (mTEU) in January since the start of its operations, achieving this notable milestone in less than three years.

This follows a strong finish to 2020 by PSA India terminals, with record volumes handled in December 2020 for PSA India as a whole. PSA Mumbai and PSA Chennai also recorded monthly throughput highs in December 2020.

Aside from these operational highlights, PSA Mumbai also added a new service recently as it welcomed the vessel M.V. Wan Hai 507 on 3 January 2021. The M.V. Wan Hai 507 is part of the joint Wan Hai Lines / Interasia Lines CI2 / ICI service, the terminal’s latest addition to its services – its 7th weekly service call and its 5th direct Far East service.

With this new service call from Wan Hai and Interasia Lines, 2021 is off to a strong start and we will also see new products and developments for PSA India soon, including enhancements to the ODeX digital online payment solution launched earlier in September 2020.”
