PSA Mumbai Launches First Ever Online Payments Solution for Jawaharlal Nehru Port Customers

Spearheading transformation in India’s e-payment scene, PSA Mumbai has launched a digital online payments solution for its Direct Port Delivery (DPD) customers with local technology platform ODeX. With this solution, PSA Mumbai’s DPD customers will now be able to process documents and pay terminal handling charges with a single click on the ODeX platform from 15 September 2020.

A first in the Jawaharlal Nehru Port area, the new online payments product – jointly developed by PSA Mumbai and ODeX – provides customers with real time status updates, the ability to upload and amend their documentation, alongside e-payments and delivery confirmation functions. With no requirement to maintain advance deposits, it also improves cash flow for the DPD customers.

With an efficient “CLICK → PAY ONLINE → TAKE DELIVERY OF DPD CONTAINERS” process, the solution allows PSA Mumbai’s growing number of DPD customers to complete the documentation, payment and delivery processes online via a one stop portal.

Managing Director of PSA Mumbai Sivakumar K said, “A rapid and seamless flow of information between a terminal and its users is as important as the physical flow of containers through the terminal. This product gives our DPD customers a fast, efficient and secure payment and documentation system to take delivery of their goods as soon as possible. With ODeX’s extensive user base, it is well positioned for widespread adoption.”
