PSA Singapore and GeTS recently bagged awards at the Tech Leader Awards 2022, with PSA Singapore’s IT team receiving the Digital Achievers (Team) award and Global eTrade Services (GeTS) CEO Chong Kok Keong receiving the Digital Achievers (Individual) award.

The Tech Leader Awards is organised by the Singapore Computer Society (SCS) and features awards in four categories: Tech Leader of the Year, Hall of Fame, Digital Achievers – (Individual and Team), and Future Leaders in Tech. Following open nominations, winners are selected through a judging panel comprising distinguished individuals from business, public sector and academia.

The Digital Achievers award seeks to recognise teams and individuals who have implemented digital infrastructure, platforms and applications that benefitted multiple companies or organisations by enabling a significant breakthrough in delivery of products or services to businesses or society.

PSA SEA’s Regional Head of Infocomm Technology Ho Vee Leung accepted the award on behalf of PSA Singapore’s IT Team at the award ceremony, which was graced by Singapore’s Minister for Communications and Information Josephine Teo.

PSA Singapore was recognised for its intelligent logistics ecosystem which features two platforms – SmartBooking and iBOX.

SmartBooking is an integrated one-stop booking platform for container depots, terminals, hauliers, and logistics facilities across Singapore, which provides better visibility of their logistics infrastructure including vessel schedules and container movement events. iBOX is a next-generation depot management solution that digitally connects the port with container depots across Singapore. Integrated with SmartBooking for seamless data exchanges, iBOX enables better truck visibility for enhanced efficiency between logistics facilities and container depots. Collectively, SmartBooking and iBOX facilitate smarter capacity management, reducing truck waiting time and carbon emissions as well as bolstering trucker’s productivity.
