PSA Singapore Sets New GBP Record

PSA Singapore Sets New GBP Record

On 8 May 2019, Singapore managed to set a new Gross Berth Productivity (GBP) record of 465!

Container vessel Mette Maersk had sailed from Ningbo, China, and berthed at PSA Singapore’s Pasir Panjang Terminal at 8.10am. Despite heavy downpour, PSA staff provided optimal support, immaculate planning, precise execution and synchronisation to complete 4,342 moves in 9hrs 20mins; Mette Maersk was able to set sail again the very same day towards its next port of call.

PSA Group CEO Tan Chong Meng paid high compliments to our Singapore colleagues, “It is these ‘peaks of excellence’ which highlight to our customers and partners our exceptional attitudes and capabilities. Congratulations!”

Maersk’s Head of Liner Operations James Wroe was most apt in his praise: “Unbelievable!”

Kudos to the extraordinary teams involved in this milestone achievement for exemplifying the spirit of One PSA, and consistently providing world class service alongside our customers and partners!
