PSA Singapore won the “Best in Future of Industry Ecosystems” award at the inaugural IDC Future Enterprise Awards for Singapore, held on 21 September 2021. The win was a nod to PSA Singapore’s intelligent logistics ecosystem featuring platforms SmartBooking and iBOX (Intelligent Box Operation eXchange).

The “Best in Future of Industry Ecosystems” award recognizes PSA Singapore’s ability to generate value by creating new digital ecosystems that leverage software platforms to deliver scale and speed in the new digital economy where new business models emerge, accompanied by new customer requirements and ways of operating.

PSA Singapore’s intelligent logistics ecosystem features SmartBooking, an integrated one-stop booking platform for container depots, terminals, hauliers and logistics facilities across Singapore. SmartBooking was jointly launched with the Container Depot and Logistics Association (Singapore) (CDAS) earlier in 2021, and provides supply chain stakeholders with better visibility of their entire logistics including vessel schedules and container movement events.

It also includes iBOX, a next-generation depot management solution that digitally connects the port with container depots across Singapore. Integrated with SmartBooking for seamless data exchanges, iBOX enables better truck visibility for enhanced efficiency between logistics facilities and container depots. These cloud-enabled applications are built using the Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) model, which gives PSA the agility and speed to satisfy the constantly evolving demands of this new digital economy.
