On 18 November 2019, PSA’s Bharat Mumbai Container Terminals (PSA Mumbai) and Gateway Rail Freight Limited (GRFL) held a trade meet in Gurugram, Haryana in India, to launch a weekly train service.

The service is operated by GRFL and will provide regular train connectivity between PSA Mumbai and GRFL’s network of Inland Container Depots (ICDs) in North India – including Garhi-Harsaru (Gurugram, Haryana), Ludhiana (Punjab), Piyala (Faridabad, Haryana), and Viramgam (Ahmedabad, Gujarat).

The event provided the trade fraternity with good opportunity for business networking and was a platform for active discussions on the logistical requirements of shippers. The event was well received as guests were appreciative of PSA Mumbai’s efforts, in being the first terminal from JNPT to interact directly with the trade fraternity in North India, as well as for creating new capacity.
